osition: Application Analyst*QA Specialist- Permanent Edinburgh, Scotland
We are currently seeking to recruit a high calibre IT Professional to join our expanding software development team as an Application Analyst *QA Specialist. The successful individual will be required to work closely with the development team, Product Manager and users to develop a solid understanding of products and to promote and support these solutions internally and externally. The role will also involve testing the applications, creating, reviewing and defining test plans. Applicants should have as many as possible of the following skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft web based technologies (e.g IIS, ASP.NET, XML, etc.)
Ability to review and interpret design and requirements documentation.
Experience in the full life-cycle of software testing
Knowledge of developing and applying Test Plans and Test Scripts.
Knowledge of Change Control and Release Management processes
Experience of working in a team environment and able to proactively build relationships with other teams within the organisation.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Understanding of quality process models and methodologies such as CMM, ISO and IEEE is desirable
ISEB Foundation or Practitioner in Software Testing accreditation is preferred though not essential
The role and responsibilities will include:
Support Product Manager with the gathering and documenting product requirements and enhancement requests
Manage and coordinate the production of product, administration and development documentation
Troubleshoot and help resolve site issues with installers and customers
Building and maintaining set of Test Plans for specific products and components.
Set up and preparation of test environments with test data
Working in conjunction with team to ensure appropriate testing is carried out.
Administer, enhance and monitor the product enhancement requests and bug software
